Thanksgiving Prayer

Pause and Give Thanks

Wherever you find yourself today,
Whether filled with joy or wrapped in pain,
Remember to pause a moment and give thanks
For no other event in our history and time,
Can change our lives like the birth of Christ - so Divine.
His love never failing, and His Presence always near
The greatest wonder in Heaven on Christmas did appear.
God's gift full of grace that brings life, love, hope,
Can be unwrapped by us all - changing life's scope.
For when we invite His life into our hearts,
No love is greater than that He imparts.
So wherever you find yourself today,
Remember to pause and give thanks,
For HE is the Truth and the Way!

"O come, let us sing unto the Lord: Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with THANKSGIVING, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and he made it: and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our maker." Psalm 95 1-6

"Give THANKS to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107-1

"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give THANKS, and praise your glorious name." I Chronicles 29:11-13

What are you thankful for this year?
How has your life been blessed?

I love this post!

I am most thankful that I have a HOPE and a FUTURE! (because of Christ)

The rest is icing on the cake and my cake is smothered with it!

With FIVE new Grand Babies arriving safely this year, that was the first thought of thanksgiving to come to mind! Strangely, the second thought was "I really am thankful for the uncertainty of this present world." It must have come from the Spirit because that isn't me. But I am thankful for it because, as God has allowed me to grow in grace he has taught me that those uncertainties are what He uses to point me towards His unchanging certainty: HE is my Rock! And a whole lot more.
Joy, where did the poem come from?
